Industrial parks

Positioning itself as a place for business start-ups and good living, Jinshan District has formed an economic structure based on city-level industrial parks and is giving priority to the development of automobile, IT, food processing, new energy, new materials, and pharmaceutical industries.

The district will put Jinshan Industrial Park in the center of its industrial layout, surrounded by city-level industrial parks and city-approved development areas for some state-level industrial parks, and industrial establishments not on the list of the Ministry of Land and Resources. The major parks include Fengjing Industrial Park, Zhujing Industrial Park, Jinshan No. 2 Industrial Park, Zhangyan Industrial Park, Shanghai Chemical Industry Park Jinshan Division (Chemical Logistics Center included), Tinglin Industrial Park, Langxia Agricultural Processing Park and Luxiang Industrial Hub.

Jinshan Industrial Park has a planned area of 58 square kilometers. It is mainly for enterprises in biomedicine, new materials, equipment manufacturing, green printing industry, food processing, and opto-electronics, and for companies in innovation and product development.

Jinshan No. 2 Industrial Park, next to Shanghai Petrochemical Co Ltd, is a city-level industrial park that plays a supportive role to some national industrial parks in the region. It has a planned area of 11.25 square kilometers. The park is mainly for enterprises that make chemical derivatives, fine chemicals, new materials and non-petroleum chemical products.

Jinshan Industrial Park Zhangyan Division is located in Zhangyan Town with a planned area of 6 square kilometers. It serves as a base for Shanghai's new materials and new energy industry. Its main focus is on the production and development of new fabric materials, home textiles and textile machinery.

Jinshan Industrial Park Shanyang Division is located in Shanyang Town with a planned area of 7.9 square kilometers. Chemical derivatives, machinery and equipment, and electronic products are its major development targets.

Fengjing Industrial Park is a city-level industrial park with a planned area of 12.2 square kilometers. It consists of the Shanghai International Clothing Machinery Complex, Shanghai Knitwear Industrial Base, and an automobile manufacturing hub. The park gives priority to auto making, especially new-energy cars and electric motorcycles. It also has enterprises that produce home appliances, mechanical equipment, and even rice wine.

Zhujing Industrial Park is a city-level industrial park with a planned area of 9 square kilometers. The park specializes in food processing, light industry, machinery, new alloys, new building materials and other consumer products.

Shanghai Chemical Industry Park Jinshan Division is affiliated with the national industrial park, SCIP. It has a planned area of 20 square kilometers in Caojing Town and covers a division of Jinshan Industrial Park and a logistics park that serves chemical enterprises in SCIP. Modern logistics, chemical storage and transportation, and composite materials are the main business activities in the park.

Jinshan Modern Agricultural Park lies in Langxia Town with a planned area of 51 square kilometers. Its processing zone, about 4 square kilometers in size, is a base for food processing and related equipment manufacturing.

Tinglin Industrial Park, also in Langxia Town with a planned area of 6.38 square kilometers, focuses on machinery and equipment manufacturing, food processing, logistics, and new materials production.

Luxiang Industrial Complex is located in Luxiang Town with a planned area of 5.92 square kilometers. It is mainly for enterprises engaged in the manufacturing of auto parts, machinery, equipment, and electronic products.
