Jinshan aims to push unmanned vehicle industry

Oct 11, 2017

Jinshan is actively engaged in preparation for setting up an unmanned system industry park to facilitate the research, production, testing and system integration of drones, self-driving vehicles and vessels, as well as intelligence robots.

The district is now applying for the qualification to build a drone test base, which would serve as an experiment, research and training location for domestic drone enterprises.

Two runways in planning are 700 meters and 900 meters in length, respectively.

An 84,000-square-meter industrial base for unmanned system is also in preparation in the district. It will have three factories and one office building to provide comprehensive services for companies in the park.

So far, UVS Intelligence System, AVIC Baosheng Intelligence Technology and several other companies have already signed up for the project. The park will offer preferential policies on rent, revenue, capital and introduction of professionals.

The 2017 World Unmanned Systems Conference recently closed in Jinshan, which helped steering the district into building the industrial chain covering R&D, manufacturing and operation.
