Jinshan launches 14 industrial projects

Jinshan kicked off construction work for 14 industrial projects with total investment of 6 billion yuan (US$957 million) on Wednesday.

Jinshan Party Secretary Zhao Weixing and Director Hu Weiguo attended the opening ceremony.

The projects focus on high-end manufacturing, including the 750-million-yuan Hyundai Elevator whose products are widely applied in malls, residential complexes and cars. The project is estimated to make an annual output of 1.8 billion yuan.

Other construction projects launched on the same day are in smart equipment, new display, Internet communications, biomedicine and new materials.

Development is the top priority and solution to many issues in Jinshan, said Hu. Jinshan as a main force for Shanghai's manufacturing industry will actively engage itself in building the city into a science and innovation center and boost quality growth of local economy.
