A 20-member delegation, led by officials from Indonesia's Ministry of Village, Development of Disadvantaged Region, and Transmigration, visited suburban Jinshan District on Monday to exchange views with local officials on rural economic development and management of grass-roots society.

They visited Shanghai Irrist Corp, a leading irrigation company in China, the Haishanghuakai Ecology Park and Jinshanzui Fishing Village during the trip.

The Indonesian government plans to send more than 700 officials from grass-roots levels to China in order to exchange experiences in developing rural areas. The first such delegation visited Beijing, Jiangsu and Shanghai on an 11-day tour.

In Jinshan, they also visited the water-saving irrigation museum and an intelligent agricultural cloud computing platform on the development of Internet of Things in rural Shanghai.
