Jinshan GDP jumps 6.7% on year

The regional gross domestic product of Jinshan District increased by 6.7 percent year-on-year in 2019, according to acting district director Liu Jian's government report unveiled at the annual district people's congress on Tuesday.

The total fiscal revenue was 48.79 billion yuan (US$6.97 billion), up 5.2 percent from 2018. The growth rate ranked second among the five suburban districts of Shanghai. The other suburban districts are Songjiang, Jiading, Fengxian and Chongming.

In 2019, Jinshan's economic operation was generally stable and in line with expectations, maintaining a good momentum of steady and solid progress, according to the report.

District leaders Hu Weiguo, Du Zhizhong and 223 deputies joined the annual legislators' congress.
