Jinshan railway to reopen in 2011

Jinshan's railway line will reopen on October 1, 2011, according to an announcement after a meeting on December 9.

The first shareholders' meeting as well as conference of the board of directors and supervisory board announced the launch of the rail line's operator: Shanghai Jinshan Railway Limited Liability Company.

The meeting also assigned details of construction work to speed up reconstruction of the track.

China's Ministry of Railways and Shanghai Municipality were responsible for jointly reconstructing the line with a total investment of 4.8 billion yuan (US$702 million).
